Background of Taegeuk Plant Development
When ordinary flat top implant is administered to the maxillary anterior region and premolar region, the adjacent upper area of alveolar bone remains untouched
to the implant surface. This unsupported alveolar bone peak passes through the bone remodeling process and partial or entire resorption will occur.
Consequently, the resorption of lower alveolar bone causes the gingival recession of upper gingival tissue, which in turn leads to an unaesthetic outcome in the maxillary anterior region and premolar region.
